MicroNova’s Office in Wolfsburg

MicroNova strongly favors the proximity to its customers and so MicroNova opened a new office in Wolfsburg. Since August 2005, MicroNova has been supporting the start and the roll-out of the uniform test automation EXAM (EXtended Automation Method) used throughout Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg. Being present on site, processes are optimized more intensely.

"Software-development has a lot to do with know-how, yet more with good project management and most of all with the willingness and capability of getting involved with the needs of the customers", explains Veikko Voigt, head of the branch in Wolfsburg. He and his staff members are looking forward to continuing the projects while being "settled" on location. "Of course, the excellent cooperation with VW is a challenge to justify the confidence placed in us in every respect. We assist Volkswagen AG in creating test cases, tool development, support and user trainings. In doing so, MicroNova's development engineers are operating in different departments and create single control unit tests as well as sub- and full integration tests in the fields comfort, infotainment, chassis and power train."

Which goals does the team Wolfsburg aspire to achieve?
To further strengthen the network and to transfer the know-how, there will be more joint EXAM-workshops for both the staff of Wolfsburg and southern Germany in the future. Besides and in order to overcome the distance from one another, the incorporation of the team Wolfsburg shall be improved by iteration loops of the tool development taking place in Vierkirchen.
The temporary exchange of employees at the sites of operation in the Volkswagen Group shall allow a common know-how transfer to yield ideas in the developments of the EXAM-tool-suite. In the future, the team in Wolfsburg will also support interested suppliers and service providers in most different categories of development tasks. Like the headquarters in Vierkirchen, the team in Wolfsburg previously started EXAM-trainings for motivated suppliers and service providers.
