The newly founded cz.MicroNova s.r.o. began operations in Mladá Boleslav at the beginning of the year. The establishment of the subsidiary in the Central Bohemian Region demonstrates MicroNova’s increased customer focus. In a first step, the team will provide local support and maintenance for the NovaCarts systems used to test control equipment at Czech customers. In addition, the subsidiary will support automotive manufacturers and suppliers located in the Czech Republic with a comprehensive portfolio of services for the deployment of the EXAM test automation solution. Moreover, as part of the company’s future growth strategy, development services are also planned to be offered in the city, which is situated to the northeast of Prague.
Growth opportunities in the automotive market
“With the establishment of our first foreign subsidiary, we have reached a further milestone in the corporate history of MicroNova AG,” says Orazio Ragonesi, CEO of MicroNova AG. “We are continuing to expand the testing area, and in doing so, strengthening its strategic importance for MicroNova as a whole, and driving the growth of the entire business. Expansion into the Czech market is an important step on this path; many automotive companies are very active here. We are already hearing a lot of positive feedback to the fact that we now have a local presence.”
MicroNova has had great success over many years offering solutions for testing electronic control equipment and components that are used in particular in the automotive industry. Its portfolio includes the hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) simulators of the NovaCarts product family for the vehicle domains of passenger comfort and powertrain – including hybrid and electric motors. Another up-and-coming topic on the agenda is networking vehicles under the headings of “connected car” and “autonomous driving”. The company’s portfolio is rounded off by a comprehensive range of services and tried-and-tested software solutions for test automation. The EXAM (EXtended Automation Method) software, for example, enables manufacturers and suppliers to automate control equipment tests on NovaCarts systems and on HiL simulators from other vendors. Besides their use in the automotive industry, MicroNova solutions are also deployed by wind turbine manufacturers.
