The NovaCarts Test Operation Software was specially developed for controlling NovaCarts HiL systems and covers the entire spectrum of complex real-time simulation, from real-time data visualization to managing the test run. It does not matter whether the HiL system that is attached has one or several real-time computers because NovaCarts can be used to manage several real-time systems in parallel.
Users benefit from compact display elements and numerous options that allow the graphical user interface (GUI) to be customized to individual requirements. Another major benefit are the low hardware requirements together with fast installation.
The modular database for NovaCarts systems makes it possible for test engineers to drag the desired parameters onto the user interface in one easy step. The NovaCarts Database Editor allows the parameters used to be adjusted flexibly without any third-party tools.
NovaCarts Test Operation Software also works perfectly with the free EXAM test automation software. Other test automation tools can also be connected easily via the XIL-API.

NovaCarts Test Operation Software has an offline mode, allowing the operating software to be used in standalone mode without any connection to a test bench network.
This mode permits users to, for example, examine test procedures created with a test automation tool in advance for possible errors, meaning that a check can be made to ensure whether the right parameters have been used, or whether corrections need to be made. An actual HiL simulator is not required for this purpose. This allows the test time available on the test bench to be used effectively.
The NovaCarts Test Operation Software also includes the virtual test environment NovaCarts Virtual. The NovaCarts real-time software runs locally on a virtual machine. This allows compiled real-time models to be commissioned and tested locally on an operating computer - saving valuable time on the HiL system. A further advantage: the simulation models can be adopted unchanged, so that they do not have to be recompiled for a "real" HiL.
The NovaCarts Test Operation Software uses the same toolchain as in normal mode, both in offline mode and in NovaCarts Virtual.
