The integrated XiL interface in NovaCarts 4.3 meets the current ASAM Standard 2.1.0. MicroNova has introduced additional new features as part of the changeover to the new API. For example, in version 4.3 you can switch signal generator segments with a trigger, which allows for a more precise, event-driven stimulation of test signals.
In addition, so-called analytical data signals, which can be used to synthetically create a signal, are now available. Moreover, with the new release, test engineers can use the signal generator to run previously defined segments in a loop so that the duration of the stimulation of the signal generator can be increased. What is more, NovaCarts real-time scripts (cfi) can be integrated via XiL API.
Retriggering for data logging
The data logging introduced in version 4.1 with the recording of the measured values has also been expanded to include a “retriggering function”. This allows test engineers to automatically collect recurring signals several times using a trigger that has only been set once. This simplifies taking samples for analytical purposes if it needs to be shown how signals behave after a defined trigger event.
The extended XiL API and the more comprehensive data logging functionality simplify and speed up the work for test engineers using HiL systems significantly. Alongside these new features, NovaCarts 4.3 offers an even shorter configuration time for the operation of multi-server HiL systems as well as more options when importing files (e.g. CAN description files).
