MicroNova has extended the NovaCarts hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) simulators with the network protocol J1939. The protocol defines CAN bus signals and data formats for communication between different ECUs and is mainly used in powertrain and chassis components in commercial vehicles. NovaCarts test systems are therefore also suitable for ECU tests on heavy road or off-road vehicles.

Increased Bandwidth for NovaCarts Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) Simulators

NovaCarts HiL simulators from MicroNova now come with the bus standard “Controller Area Network with Flexible Data Rate” (CAN FD). CAN FD enables significantly higher data transmission rates than the traditional CAN bus system and is therefore ideal for more complex control units requiring greater bandwidth.

Plug & play-capable NovaCarts I/O components with system-on-a-chip approach

With their NovaCarts I/O boards and modules, MicroNova and carts are introducing a new generation of test systems for the development of control equipment.
